The Hive Gallery and Studios always offers a quadruple helping of art at each of their openings. They run a normal gallery in the front, a secondary gallery/stage in the middle, and then artists’ studios in the back. So, the following photos are from the main showing, which is entitled “Line Attack” and features the ‘doodle’ as fine art. However, artists like Alex Chiu, Michael Hsiung, Adam Roth, and Andrew Smith make works that are way more intricate than just simple, spur-of-the-moment drawings on paper. And their pieces are also under-priced at this particular exhibit–-so don’t be afraid to visit and add some wonderful new pieces to your collection without breaking the bank.
