Three Exhibits In One Gallery at BLUM & POE

For the month of JULY, the gallery Blum & Poe is playing host to three exhibitions in their space at once. However, the first thing you notice when walking to their building is a memorial of flowers and stuffed animals along the sidewalk. Debates on the street ensued in regards to whether or not the objects were placed there by artists or family members. And since I’m one for mystery, I decided not to do any further research. A girl dressed in black stamped your hand as you walked into the gallery, where Jack Black [Kung Fu Panda/Tenacious D] also happened to be in attendance, which was quite a cool surprise. All three exhibits are quite diverse and feature everything from paintings of the Grateful Dead’s psychedelic teddy bears to metallic drawers placed strategically on the ground.
