Richard Newton, “La Gruta Azul/The Grotto”

IMG_5401Conceptual artist Richard Newton’s newest installation,”La Gruta Azul/The Grotto” blends Jewish, Catholic and Buddhist religious symbolism with empty drink cans and water bottles that create an otherworldly environment. Opening at Jancar gallery on Saturday night–the only evening “The Grotto” will be able to be viewed in the nighttime light–“The Grotto” will in place until October 19th during regular gallery hours.
