Los Angeles’ very Los-Angeles-in-the-best-way art fair, Beyond Eden returns to the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Art Park in East Hollywood, October 12 and 13 after a one year hiatus. This celebration of New Contemporary Art–think Pop Surrealism, conceptual narrative, low brow, no brow, interpretive representational, neo-expressionism–is a multi-gallery show featuring bold curation and eye-popping art.
The event kicks off Saturday October 12 at 5pm and will honor Greg Escalante of Copro Gallery with a presentation at 7pm. Escalante, the owner of Copro Gallery (celebrating its 20th anniversary of presenting both blue chip and emerging New Contemporary artists) is one of the founders (with Robert Williams) of Juxtapoz Magazine, organized the Kustom Kulture II 20th anniversary show, and is a longtime supporter and collector of Los Angeles and other New Contemporary artists.
Organized by Thinkspace’s Andrew Hosner, with galleries like C.AV.E., Copro, Spoke Art, and Thinkspace (who will be presenting a special showcase of over 40 artists from around the world creating works inspired by endangered species in support of Born Free USA)
Add in free admission, free parking, and sponsored bar–what could be better!
