Fabrik Expo–a celebration of art, design, multi-media and performance art–premiers in the Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District, the weekend of January to 30 to 31, with an opening night party on Friday January 29. The weekend-long art fair platform presents emerging and established cross-disciplinary artists, designers, and collaborative groups at Willow Studios, a 30,000-square-foot, indoor/outdoor film production and events venue in a central enclave of LA’s ever-evolving and internationally-known DTLA Arts District.
Fabrik Expo’s focus is artists from around the world–participants include artists from Japan, Mexico and Spain, as well as from all over the US– who do not have an opportunity to participate in gallery-based art fairs.
Fabrik Expo’s opening night preview party benefits Inner-City Arts, a nonprofit arts organization based in Downtown Los Angeles that provides professional art instruction to under-served youth; tickets for the party are $100 in advance and include weekend admission to the fair. Expo tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door for one-day admission; $25 in advance/$30 at the door for a weekend pass that covers Saturday and Sunday; a $60 VIP pass which includes weekend admission, a fair guide, and access to the VIP lounge during the fair. Cartwheel Art, which is based in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District, is proud to be a sponsor of the Fabrik Expo.
