Save the Date: Designer Con goes Huge 11/19-20
Designer Con has experienced yearly growth and in 2016, the event takes a jump with an extra 20,000 of vendor space, and the addition of a venue for panels and party in conjunction with Crewest. Pasadena’s The Rose is right across the street from the Convention Center and will offer daytime panels and a nighttime party with DJ Z-Trip providing sounds for an event called “Hidden Walls”. The panels and party are accessible with a VIP pass, ticketed separately.
Oculus will be demonstrating Medium, a three-dimensional sculpting tool which offers clay like free form sculpting with both standard and custom shapes, ” from a 3D stamp library that lets you quickly assemble a sculpture, ranging from organic to mechanical to abstract and custom shapes”; Smoothing, to blend pieces together; and Painting to give the artist the ability to “customize their sculpts down to the last pixel.”

And speaking of exclusives, we just heard from The Art of Coop a/k/a Chris Cooper that he will be at the show, with two exclusive prints, one in conjunction with Paul Kaiju. Paul is notorious for bringing some of the events’ most insane customs of which demand always exceeds supply.
