Save the Date: KAABOO Del Mar 2017 – September 15th through September 17th

Designed as a fully immersive “Mix-perience”, KAABOO Del Mar 2017 combines the very best of music, art, food, drink, comedy, and indulgent spa-like amenities into one 3-day luxurious festival experience. The festival lineup boasts nearly 100 musical acts and performances including Red Hot Chili Peppers, P!nk, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Muse plus comedy legends Arsenio Hall, Patton Oswalt, Norm MacDonald, and David Spade. And, when KAABOO returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds for it’s third incarnation on September 15, more than 100 art installations, live mural paintings, and curated pop-up exhibitions make Kaaboo’s ARTWORK one of Southern California’s largest contemporary art fairs.

The 2017 participants of KAABOO Del Mar are well known Cartwheel Art friends and family. “The KAABOO Artwork Experience brings together the talent and inspiration of some of the world’s most renowned contemporary visual artists,” KAABOO Artistic Director Amandalynn said in a statement. Artists include Nychos, Bicicleta Sem Freio, Felipe Pantone, PichiAvo, Case Maclaim, Crystal Wagner, Elle, Erin Yoshi, Hula, Lauren YS, Lucien Shapiro, Spenser Little, Gloria Muriel plus pop-up exhibitions curated by 111 Minna (San Francisco), C.A.V.E. Gallery (Venice Beach), Distinction Gallery (San Diego), San Diego Museum of Art, Sparks Gallery (San Diego), Sugar Press (Los Angeles), and VISUAL Urban Contemporary Gallery (San Diego).

The paint live/play live force is strong at KAABOO Del Mar. The music may be the main draw for most KAABOO patrons, and some may say we’ve got this whole thing backwards, but we can’t think of a better way to spend a late summer weekend than watching our favorite artists get down while at the same time listening to our favorite musicians play live in the background.

The festival returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds Sept. 15-17. Ticket packages are on sale now and are available, along with more information about the event at kaaboodelmar.com.
