SAVE THE DATE: Opening Reception and Performance of Mondongo at Track 16 – Saturday, February 10th
Track 16, our new neighbor in Downtown Los Angeles, will be presenting a third solo exhibition by art collective Mondongo of Buenos Aires. This Argentine artist group was created in 1999, by artists Juliana Laffitte and Manuel Mendanha.
Mondongo most recently was featured at LACMA as part of the city-wide PST LA/LA events. They are best known for creating provocative content out of unusual materials. Their work typically addresses culture, community, and communication.
The newest work, entitled “ What are we gonna say after HELLO?” is part of an experiential art installation that includes an ongoing performance aspect during the opening night reception, this Saturday evening from 7-10 pm.
