SAVE THE DATE: Opening Reception of “Memories on Location”, A Group Show at Keystone Gallery – February 17th

Posted by

Memory is stimulated by many things, often random, from song verses to particular scents or other sensory stimuli. An exhibition “Memories on Location” at the Keystone Gallery explores the various ways that images can connect one with the past, inviting the viewer to thoughtful introspection, as they explore the artwork and unlock passages in their own minds.

The group show, curated by Christine Rasmussen, includes work by Ching Ching Cheng, Shelley Heffler, Kim Marra, Hung Viet Nguyen, and herself. Each of these artists will be sharing their common stories of transition, be it through a move, or a personal loss of someone dear. Across all mediums, the common thread leads one back to subconscious memories.

The Keystone Gallery is part of the Keystone Art Complex in Lincoln Heights, which features nearly 50 working artist studios for professional artists. Although usually closed to the public, the complex offers occasional gallery openings, special events, and open studio tours free to the public twice a year.  The work includes painting, illustration, printmaking, jewelry, photography, sculpture and more.
