Once again The Hive Gallery present a synapse-stimulating opening with three featured artists (Jenna Gibson, Zara Kand, and Chi Kei “Sam” Ho) and installation (this time by Ashford Harrison), and continues  this man vs robot-themed group show, “Blood and Oil” with 40 artists going mano a man, tackling the theme of  mechanical mayhem makers, armed only with a brush and palette, refereed, uh curated, by Orange County curatorial group White Matter.

Throw in tarot readings!  Facepainting! Three DJs!  The Hive Gallery, which bills itself as

the place for emerging artists for over 7 years in Downtown LA!

is always a scene, and there’s a $5 suggested donation.
