Art of Fusion MIA is a first-timer at Miami, smartly making its debut as a pop-up in a giant tent in the Wynwood District. And getting noticed for it: The New York Post named Art of Fusion as their Number 1 event beyond Art Basel. (And as Art of Fusion’s media sponsor, CARTWHEEL is pretty excited about that!)

Sponsored by Grey Goose Vodka as part of their Fly Beyond programming, Art of Fusion features emerging artists from the Caribbean and African Diaspora, curated by L.A.-based arts collective Artist Muse founder Wil Phearson. Major highlight, not be missed: A conversation with the amazing, iconic and groundbreaking artist Betye Saar,  moderated by MSNBC correspondent Dr. James Peterson on December 7 at 11am.  (Los Angeles based Saar, famous for both her prints and profound and stirring assemblage is being honored by Grey Goose  with their “Fly Beyond” award on December 6th).

Art of Fusion MIA promises

to be an immersive, interdisciplinary, multimedia experience bridging themes of cultural identity and diversity, sensuality, self-realization, the humanistic struggle and socio-political perspectives.

The gallery exhibition will include various works and installation by acclaimed and emerging artists Miles Regis, Toni Scott, Roni Feldman, Duane Paul, Cole James and others.  Art of Fusion is open to the public Wednesday, December 4 to Saturday, December 7 from 10am to 10pm. Attached to the exhibition is the Fly Beyond Lounge, featuring Grey Goose vodka drinks and a sculpture garden, open til 1am nightly. The lounge is 21 and over.

Both the exhibition and events December 4th, 6th and 7th are free and open to the public unless other stated (registration is strongly suggested; to register you’ll be asked to fill out a quick Grey Goose survey, and then will be directed to the EventBrite Art of Fusion page).
