Downtown Los Angeles: A Wild West of mysteries, malfunctions, bombings, and organized crime.
Join historical journalist Hadley Meares as we walk the mean streets of DTLA and discuss some of the famous criminals and crime victims who have lived and loved in the City of Angels.
We will explore L.A.’s underbelly, including the original cruising district, jails, Skid Row, and red light district, the bombing of the L.A. Times, escaped murderers, and the deadly elevator of the Bradbury Building.
Along the way, we will take a pit stop at the legendary La Cita, where we will discuss Angel’s Flight not so smooth history.
