Photos: Getting TRASHed at Coachella with Global Inheritance
Global Inheritance’s TRASHed: The Art of Recycling installations–over 100 recycling bins painted by artists–are some of the most noticeable features at Coachella Music and Arts Festival, along withthe giant Recyclosaurus Rex which “eats” cans and bottles. We covered the TRASHed preview in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District earlier this month, and Paul Koudounaris snapped shots for us of the bins and Trashosaurus in action during Coachella’s first weekend. Paul’s use of black and white film (not digital!) gives a totally different feel to the pieces than his color shots, turning them into something out of a vintage sci-fi horror film.
