Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk: 2nd Thursday of Every Month
The Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk happens on the second Thursday of every month, when galleries along Spring and Main from 4nd to 7th open their doors and the people from all over LA mingle. Park in a lot, or if you don’t feel like driving, take Metro (starting in May, you can pick up special art-themed LADOT Metro TAP cards in the Art Walk Lounge). Feeling really flush? Uber Car gets you there in style (great if you’re traveling in a group of three or four and you want to sample a cocktail at the Golden Gopher, which opened in 1905).
The Art Walk began in 2004. In the past nine years, the Art Walk has grown into one of the most lively monthly events in the Greater Los Angeles area. People from all over the Southland are drawn to Downtown by the lively mix of galleries, restaurants, and nightspots. There’s also the Art Walk Lounge at 634 S. Spring St. with information on local events, a DJ, food samples, and more.
