TarFest: Craola, Axis Team Up on La Brea

A crowd gathered on La Brea Blvd between 1st and 2nd  late Sunday afternoon to watch Axis and Craola  participate in TarFest Art, a live painting event. We were lucky enough to catch Craola and Axis doing a team mural. More photos to come from the reception at Merry Karnowsi Gallery where participant Edward Walton Wilcox is showing. The live painting,  presented by District La Brea, TarFest 2013 and Merry Karnowsky Gallery, and curated by Ethel Seno also featured DevNGosha,  Britt Erlinger + Naamack Colllective, Nunca, and KMNDZ.

TarFest is a live music festival taking place Spetember 21 at the La Brea Tar Pits from 2pm to 8pm, which is free for all ages and will include more live painting, plus bands, food trucks, and activities.
