PREVIEW: Superchief’s Annual Bicoastal Mega Group Show – Opens 4/2 in DTLA!
Superchief Gallery‘s Edward Zipco and Bill Dunleavy, have once again outdone themselves for this weekends Annual Bicoastal Mega Group Show, featuring the work of 100 artists across California and New York City. The show will take place in the gallery’s three locations – a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Downtown L.A., a digital media showroom in Soho NYC and their HQ at the Tender Trap in Brooklyn NYC – opening this weekend.
From a boardwalk style booth game by Ornamental Conifer and never before seen installation work by Swoon in L.A., to the immersive VR environment TenSquared Gallery by Terrell Davis in SoHo NYC, Superchief has transformed the notion of a typical gallery opening reception into a carnival of artwork and live performances.
“This is our chance to present a sample of the artists we’ll be working with throughout the year as well as our community favorites,”
explains Bill Dunleavy, co-owner of Superchief Gallery,
“It’s like a family portrait of everyone in our ever-growing extended network.”
The show in DTLA is opening tomorrow (Saturday April 2nd) from 7pm-11pm . You will NOT want to miss it! Between the list of artists, the music, the great mix of people they always attract fro their openings, and the warehouse space itself, it’s one of our most highly anticipated openings for the month of April!
Superchief has selected the artists for this show based on that they’ll be doing shows with then this year, as well as it being a selection of community favorites and family, They call it their “annual salon-style family portrait”. After you see the list, you’ll totally get why we have made this a not to be missed show!
