On Thursday November 17th, attendees of the Airbnb Open – Los Angeles, experienced Silverlake, one of LA’s most colorful neighborhoods the way locals do—on foot. This occurred through Neighborhood Explorations, curated and produced by Cartwheel Art Tours, founder Cindy Schwarzstein.
It was with Curbed urbanism editor and pedestrian advocate Alissa Walker, where guests explored Silver Lake’s secret staircases and hillside homes in this creative community.
The highlight of the Neighborhood Exploration was to check out architecturally significant addresses, climb to LA’s most stunning vistas, and learn how Silver Lake originally became famous—as a backdrop for the first motion pictures.
