Tour Coverage: Private Tour – DTLA Arts District (Monday 10/23/17)
This private corporate group tour itinerary, designed by Cindy Schwarzstein, was based on the client’s input of wanting to have an experience where they would receive inspiration, through the five senses, to take back to their offices.
The group met Cindy at Cafe Gratitude, and then strolled through the neighborhood by foot. They made stops at various artisan shops and eateries, while taking in the art through the many murals, street art and graffiti that are on the walls in the neighborhood.
Cindy also shared a bit about the history of the Arts District and some of the future developments, as well as describing the difference between the various forms of art on the walls as murals, street and graffiti, that they experienced in the neighborhood.
Shops included: Hammer & Spear, Alchemy Works, and Shinola, with mention of others that were not open on Mondays.
Murals included those on the walls of Hauser & Wirth, as well as at the Container Yard. Also those in between on Hewitt, Traction, 3rd and around the triangle.
The tour ended at Salt & Straw Ice Cream.
