SAVE THE DATE & PREVIEW: Laluzapalooza 2018 at La Luz de Jesus Gallery – Opening Reception on Friday, March 2nd
La Luz de Jesus Gallery will be presenting their annual juried group exhibition, LALUZAPALOOZA with an opening reception on Friday, March 2nd. This gigantic, no-theme show will be featuring works from some of the freshest and most relevant artists working today. Each year, the gallery sorts through tens of thousands of submissions from commercial illustrators, graphic designers, tattooists, scenics, students, street taggers, animators and working gallery artists to select 160 plus pieces from 65 or so artists. We can’t wait to see some of our favorite artists and to discover the new as well in the salon style setting!!
This show will also be a milestone for gallery director Matt Kennedy who will be departing from La Luz de Jesus Gallery as of the March 2nd opening. He will be replaced by Matthew Gardocki. From what we understand, Matthew is an experienced curator and was part of the crew when Soap Plant/Wacko/La Luz de Jesus was on Melrose in the 1990s.
Hope to see you at the show, where we will be saying goodbye to Matt, and hello to Matthew!
