SAVE THE DATE: The McLoughlin Gallery presents TAP (Temporary Art Project) – May 18th & 19th
The McLoughlin Gallery from San Francisco presents a new adventure for LA gallery-goers, with their first TAP event, or Temporary Art Project. This weekend only, on May 18-19th, join them for this pop-up multi-media exhibit featuring Raphael Federici, Daniel Healey, Max Papeschi, Sarah Ratchye, and Cristobal Valecillo.
The group show has a breadth of variety in its international repertoire. With work that varies from the dynamic photography of Cristobal, whose work is based on 400-year old Venezuelan traditions of the Yare, to the surrealist fragmented paintings of Ratchye, to digital collages by Milan artist Papeschi and neo-pop symbolism by Paris artist Federici, the show is invigorating in its diversity.
Adding to the flavor of the night, don’t miss the special appearance by the Yare Devils, as they perform their famous devil dance in traditional red costumes and elaborately decorated horned masks. The performance takes place at 7:30 on opening night, Friday, May 18th.
