SAVE THE DATE: Brett Crawford’s “Flying Close to the Sun” at Avenue des Arts – Friday, December 14
On Friday, Brett Crawford’s solo show opens at Avenue des Arts in Downtown Los Angeles. The exhibition’s title, “Flying Close to the Sun,” was inspired by the Icarus myth. Crawford’s paintings depict wild animals in human settings and situations, using surreal fantasy to challenge the boundaries of human identity.
Avenue des Arts is a contemporary art gallery founded by Dimitri Lorin in 2013. The gallery is based in Hong Kong and opened its 6,000 square-foot Los Angeles location in June 2017.
