As a special tie-in to L.A. Beer Week, La Luz de Jesus Gallery presents “Beer is Art.”
Also opening at the same gallery on Sept. 6, Max Grundy‘s solo show “Ozone Schmozone” is an alternate reality in which machines protect humans from the natural world. Grundy, a painter, illustrator, graphic designer and art teacher, is known for hot rod and phobia themes. Elsewhere this month, his work has been part of The Karma Underground charity auction, which displays Aug. 8-29, 2013.
From his “Ozone Schmozone” artist statement:
In our future world something has gone horribly wrong. Many things once deemed as socially and environmentally “responsible” will fall by the wayside. When danger and fear become all consuming our human goal would become singular. We must struggle to reach safety from all threat. In short FEAR IS THE NEW BEAUTY.
