Cartwheel Art Tours x Atlas Obscura: “Intoxicating Spirits – Made in DTLA’s South of Seventh Neighborhood” Tour

Join Cindy Schwarzstein of Cartwheel Art Tours and Atlas Obscura field agent Erin Johnson, as we explore four Arts District manufacturers producing our favorite delights—coffee, chocolate, bread, and intoxicating spirits! Culminating at Greenbar Distillery, we’ll test our own crafting skills as we create an exquisite cocktail using the imaginative and locally inspired spirits of Greenbar Distillery.
6:00 PM Artisanal Manufacturing on Santa Fe Avenue: Warm up your pallet with a sampling of freshly baked breads, cold brew, and chocolate as we explore production at the Bread Lounge, Stumptown Coffee, and Mast Brothers Chocolate.
7:30 PM Craft Cocktail Class and Distillery Tour at Greenbar Distillery: Create the perfect cocktail at Greenbar Distillery, LA’s first distillery since prohibition. Using organic, handcrafted spirits, you’ll mix and shake under the guidance of Greenbar’s spirit experts and discover the secrets to making your own signature drinks from scratch. PLUS, drinking a Greenbar cocktail will reduce your carbon footprint by removing 62 kgs of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere! How? Read more about their their commitment to sustainability here.
During the distillery tour, you’ll view stills, fermentation tanks, barrel storage, and bottling line and learn about Greenbar’s ingredients, unique production process, and state-of-the-art equipment.
