LACE is one of the city’s most important art spaces. It is a non-profit gallery that showcases unique, contemporary art, and its annual ode to attention-commanding, groundbreaking contemporary artists in L.A. takes place May 21, 2013 from 7 to 10pm with a cocktail reception, DJ set, silent auction and live auction. Online bidding on Paddle8 begins May 8.

Artists with work available in “Happening 2013” auction include Laylah Ali, Tad Beck, Barnaby Furnas, Liz Glynn, Piero Golia, Mike Kelley, Sharon Lockhart, Meleko Mokgosi, Raymond Pettibon, Sterling Ruby, Frances Stark, Henry Taylor, Liat Yossifor, and Lisa Williamson, among others. 

The Live Auction will take place on May 21 at 8:30pm by Auctioneer Blake Koh, Director of Sotheby’s Los Angeles. General admission is $75 ($50 in advance. Leading up to the event, artworks will be on view at LACE May 15-19, 2013 from noon to 6pm.
