Nate Frizzell returns to Le Basse Projects with new works in “Spectrum” through February 2. Drop by on your way to photo l.a. this weekend, or make special trip to Culver City for this (and check all the other great shows in Culver City like Andrew Schoultz).

For this exhibition Frizzell continues his exploration of self-discovery through the study of the materials that he works with. The show features a series of large-scale oil paintings each focusing on a single color from his limited palette, in turn making up the full spectrum.

The end result is a series of large paintings that both literally and figuratively represent the artist’s full palette that he has used since he first picked up a brush. After his previous shows opened so successfully this exhibition, LeBasse, say “Spectrum” has been one of the  more anticipated  shows of the season.
