It’s going to be an arty dose of eros and thanathos at Coagula Curatorial. As above, so below? Who knows, but in the gallery’s basement, there’s a man cave full of pheremones with “The NEW Testosterone” manifesting the male drive in current Los Angeles visual art through the works of George Joachim, Nikolai Molecules and Samvel Saghatelian.

Upstairs “Séance,” a group show curated by Mario Vasquez, explores the other worldly. In addition to a presentation by the Center for Tactical Magic, artworks by Sue De Beer, Francesca Gabbiani, Glenn Kaino, Roni Feldman, Laurence McNamara, Kathleen Melian, Sean C. Flaherty, Elizabeth DiGiovanni, James Marshall, Matthew Carter, and Christy Roberts will be exhibited. The shows open May 18th with a reception from from 7m to 11pm and hangs through June 15.
