The LA Art Show is back, and we at Cartwheel are excited to be a sponsor for 2014. The spectacular list make it clear that there will be nothing else like it in the Los Angeles art world this year.
Attendees can see everything from classic works of the masters to new pieces by up and coming contemporary artists presented by hundreds of galleries from all over the world as well as an unbelievable amount of quality fine art prints from IFPDA. All today’s big names in the art world will have pieces there to view, such as Damien Hirst and Shepard Fairey, with historically important work by artists like Andy Warhol and Marc Chagall.
Of the many many notable galleries participating in the LA Art Show, New Orleans’ Red Truck Gallery will present Littletopia, a small show onto itself within the convention. In Littletopia, Red Truck will acquaint attendees with art from galleries like Los Angeles’ own La Luz De Jesus and Thinkspace alongside other galleries from San Francisco, Portland and New York. This is an unique opportunity to see what’s going on with more unconventional and exciting forms of contemporary art across the United States.
Some great events are happening, with a VIP Opening Night Premier Party on Jan. 15 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (tickets for the party range between $125 and $250) and multiple panels in the following days.
Tickets for LA Art Show are $20 per day, but if you buy them in advance online you get $5 off. Parking is available around the convention center if you are willing to pay $15 or more, however the center is located a block away from Metro’s Pico Station on the Blue Line and other forms of public transportation.
