It’s fitting that Los Angeles, the city known for innovation in film, hosts an annual photography show that’s the envy of world. photo L.A. features an outstanding selection of curated fine art photography, spanning generations of artistic material from galleries all over the world, as well as round tables, forums, lectures, private docent tours and of course the opening night gala on Jan. 16 benefitting local Los Angeles forces in arts education Inner City Arts. This year photo L.A. is at a new location, the L.A. Mart, allowing 60,000 square feet of art in photography to be viewed by visitors from the globe over from Jan. 16 through 19.
Photographers featured in the event include Douglas Kirkland, Ansel Adams, Diane Arbus, Weegee and John Knuth just to use a few as examples of the many, many (MANY!) with works on view at photo L.A.
Tickets range in price between $15 per day for students and seniors and $599 for those who want the VIP package, with varying prices in between for visitors to have access to programs and other events within the show.
