On Tuesday, the CARTWHEEL team joined Create: Fixate for a special behind the scenes installation night of “I Art You”.

Our evening began at LoT 613 with curator and producer Michelle Berc who provided a detailed presentation about Create:Fixate and the challenges behind installing multiple pieces from more than 40 different artists. She guided the group into a mystical spirit circle, asking artists and staff to silently direct positive vibes into the universe. Soon after, the staff and artists were busy going over the logistical challenges of installing hundreds of pieces. Within what seemed to be record time, the installation was complete and ready for presentation.

Create: Fixate hosts quarterly one night exhibits, featuring an eclectic blend of emerging artists, designers, DJs and musicians. Their latest event takes place on Saturday, February 15th at LOT 613, located within the historic Los Angeles Arts District.

The gallery preview opens at 4:00pm, and includes a kid’s creativity zone. The 21 and over party begins at 7:00pm, and promises a combination of art, music, cocktails and shopping!!! Exhibit attendees will dive into the works of contemporary emerging artists whose valiant colored canvases, sculptures and installations depict the playful yet bold side of today’s ever-evolving art world. Do not miss this exciting event.
