Save the Date: Saturday August 16, Painted Dot Show at I5 Gallery

The Brewery is community of artists who live and work together in one of the most inspiring–and the largest– art colonies in the world, right here in downtown Los Angeles. And while they have their own live/work studios (and the semi-annual Brewery ArtWalk) to show their art, the Brewery Artwalk Association wanted to create an event to bring the artists together and share their talents at the Brewery complex’s I5 Gallery.

Under the curation of Baha Danesh–who has photographed and written about numerous art events for us here at Cartwheel Art–the Brewery Artwalk Association and I5 Gallery, in conjunction with Danesh’s own L’Art Pout L’Art, presents “The Painted DOT Show” on Saturday August 16, 2014, from 3pm to 6pm.

Featuring over 100 wooden dots turned into works by art by 40 of the Brewery’s resident artists, “The Painted DOT Show” showcases the wide variety of artistic styles and creative inspirations at home in the Brewery, as well as celebrating the sense of community fostered at the world’s largest art liver/work art commune: A portion of the sales is going to support a Brewery resident who is facing a health crisis.
