ABOUT RYMAN ARTS
Ryman Arts is one of the nation’s top youth arts program, offering professional studio art instruction along with college and career guidance to artistic high school youth who are serious about a future in art. Students receive all supplies, instruction by master teaching artists, field trips and mentoring, all at absolutely no charge to the student. Named a National Program of Excellence by the President’s Commission on the Arts & Humanities, Ryman Arts serves as a national model for quality education for creative youth. Almost all graduates go on to college, many alumni work in the creative industries, and all are poised for personal success. Each weekend, students attend intensive studio classes on the campus of California State University, Fullerton, or Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles, with about 150 students at each location. This vibrant community of culturally diverse teens comes from over 150 neighborhoods across Southern California. This year Ryman Arts is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and has served 6,000 talented youth in its core program and many thousands more in outreach across Southern California.
