Ken “little-lost tiki” Ruzic
In its’ 16th year, Tiki Oasis visits Monster Island as a salute to movie monsters from mid-century cinema. While the four-day passes sold out in record time, the event’s 100+ vendor marketplace, vintage car show, and seventh annual themed art show are free to enter and open to the public!
Tiki Oasis co-coordinator Baby Doe von Stroheim curates the much anticipated Tiki Oasis art show each year.
These yearly pop-up exhibits give me the opportunity to share a different perspective on Tiki to the Tiki Oasis attendees. The show features top artists in the Tiki scene who use a variety of mediums from carvings to oil paint to ceramics to bring to life their love of Tiki and, this year, their love for monsters from the 50s and 60s! – Baby Doe
