This Saturday, June 15, join Cartwheel Art at the Arts District Community Information and Food Fair, a free event hosted by Los Angeles City Councilmember Jose Huizar. The event will showcase community organizations, development projects, local retailers, artists and more.
Cartwheel Art will be sharing a booth with our frequent collaborators, Art At The Rendon, so you’ll also have the opportunity to learn about their next community fundraiser, Rhythms of the City. Stop by to say hi, learn more about Cartwheel’s private and public tours, and pick up a copy of our free DTLA Arts District map. (You can also download it from that link.)
From 2-3 pm, Steve Grody, graffiti historian, documentarian, and Cartwheel Art tour guide, will be at our booth signing his book Graffiti LA.
According to Jose Huizar’s office, participants in Saturday’s fair will include Art Share LA, the Los Angeles River Artists and Business Association (LARABA), the Historic Cultural Neighborhood Council (HCNC), Industrial District Green, Shinola LA, Art.Chi.Texture + Urban Passages + Ar(t)chWAY, Urgent Care DTLA, Tiger Moon Designs, Now Art LA, ADLA, the FlexLA ridesharing app, and more.
Austyn’s Burgers, Epic Tacos, Gourmet Genie, Paradise Ice Cream, and Woody’s Grill will have food for sale. The event venue is hosted by Angel City Brewery.
