Imagine a 70,000 square foot pavilion, packed to the gills with amazing art, constructed on the beach on the edge of a continent, full of excited, knowledgeable and hip viewers, just like yourself, who are there to experience all the space has to offer. This is the new location for Scope, a contemporary satellite art fair in Miami that takes place alongside the festivities of the Art Basel fair.
There are 100 contributing international galleries and the Breeder program featuring emerging artists on view that you can scope out–thus the name, Scope. This year Scope again presents artists collaborating with VH1 to provide visual insight into the connections of art, music and pop culture.
This year several galleries we’ve covered are showing at Scope, including Artists Republic for Tomorrow, C.A.V.E. Gallery, Copro Gallery, Corey Helford Gallery, and Thinkspace, plus New Orleans-based Red Truck Gallery who bring the party with them.
Admission for the Scope ranges between $15 and $25, with special events that cost between $100 and $150, and are free for Art Basel VIP card holders.
