Optimal viewing time of Leah C. Dixon‘s hour-long, slow-form, abstract animated video, “TEMPLE: Eternity in One Hour,” will be 8pm after the sun goes down over Long Beach’s illuminoidal arts on the ArtExchange block in the city’s East Village Arts District on May 11. The video, made in 2004, explores melding the seeming opposites of digital and analog, of organic and inorganic, of spirit and form.

This one-night-only screening takes place during Second Saturday Artwalk. The video will be on a repeating loop throughout the evening, from 7 to 11pm, starting at the top of each hour.

Recently, Dixon participated in Coagula Curator’s College by curating “Inside Out,” which was cohesive and well attended.
