“Boulevard Blitz”

Phil Santos, an Airbnb City Host known as “Landmark Painter,” who has painted many of LA’s hottest and best landmarks, as paintings, including one that was displayed at the famed Getty Center, and Cartwheel Art Tours host, led Neighborhood Explorations in his neighborhood of Pasadena, during the Airbnb Open on Thursday November 17th. It’s here in Pasadena, where he showed some of his favorite and iconic locations, many of which he’s painted.

Phil, who is also an entrepreneur with a large scale and backdrop company in Los Angeles, began the exploration with the Colorado Street Bridge, which has majestic views of The Arroyo Seco and San Gabriel mountains. From there, guests strolled along Colorado Boulevard, the route of the famous Rose Bowl Parade, where many fun attractions on the very busy main street in Northeast L.A. were seen. Movie theaters, high end retail stores, sports bars, fine dining restaurants, and other attractions including a pool hall and an arcade, were some of the attractions. Our stroll led us to the exterior of the Norton Simon Museum, which currently has Picasso lithographs. Phil, who believes it’s a real treat for art lovers, and it’s where he receives inspiration was excited to show where this museum is located.

The guests had so much fun that on the last Neighborhood Exploration, they all stayed on and had dinner together at one of Phil’s favorite restaurants.
