CARTWHEEL presents the CARTWHEEL Street & Outsider Art Pop-Up Show, its second annual springtime group pop-up art show, March 21-24, 2013 at Hollywood’s PROJECT Gallery on the exciting Caheunga corridor. The opening reception is Thursday, March 21 at 7pm.

CARTWHEEL’s pop-up  features eight artists, comprised of street, outsider, surf, and new contemporary artists from around the U.S., most from the national art fair circuit, many of whom have never shown in Los Angeles before, selected by CARTWHEEL founder Cindy Schwarzstein.  Greg Haberny, Lyle Carbajal, Lydia Emily, RADICAL!, Corey Hagberg, Evo Love, Roy Gonzalez, and Scott Michael Ackerman are showcased at PROJECT Gallery, the perfect setting for the pop-up show: an active space, beautifully designed, with a roster of established contemporary artists who have shown there.

This is an opportunity for collectors and art enthusiasts to immerse themselves in current art and connect with the artists and the larger creative community. By combing fresh, bold art with daily interactive events, CARTWHEEL creates a mini-art fair-like environment at PROJECT Gallery space. This four-day art event consisting of installations, performances, and artist meet-and-greets will commence with an open-to-the-public exhibit on Thursday, March 21, from 7pm to 10pm.

The exhibition includes four days of special installations, live music, live painting, a family day gathering of fun to coincide with the Hollywood farmers market, and daily interactive events with artists for art fans of all ages.
